Raw and Real Conversation:
Sometimes you think you are over a pain.
The heartbreak.
The loneliness.
The betrayal.
The hurt.
The words and the angle they were when they said it.
The place you were standing/sitting at when they said it.
How you felt.
The colour of the wall.
The date and and the year.
You tend to forget all of it and move on with life. Over time, the good takes over the bad.
Until one day, when you are dressing up for the day and leaving for work, and the pain hits you back out of nowhere.
You start crying again.
You want to question them again.
You want to ask them just one question: “Why did you do this to me?”
Alas, you have to get up, wipe off your tears, and get back to the show biz!
And if I would have to tell you just one thing from my experience, it is this:
“I am not that person anymore,” I remind myself.
And with that reminder, comes a sense of confidence, conviction and strength, that you did not have
Trust me my friend, this one line helps me get back up, and forget that pain and get back (literally) on my toes.
You will get over it. The pain that used to linger for days will now come once a year and you will be over it.
You will be.
I promise.
Btw, my second e-Book in the 2024 project of The Year of Writing is launching this week, called as “How to deal with Heartbreak”. Before you get your hands on it next week, here are some lessons I learnt from the journey so far.
Raw One-Liners:
1. Everyone wants to quit at some point of time. The only reason to stay is if you staying will make a difference.
2. The real face of people is revealed whey they hear a no.
3. Just because something has worked in the past, doesn’t mean it would continue to do so.
4. Because something hasn’t worked in the past, most likely it won’t work today, unless you change some things.
5. Life is too short to be working with people who disrespect you.
Real Gratitude:
I am grateful to my health, for keeping me strong and powerful on my smallest and biggest days…
What are you grateful for, today? Let’s keep the gratitude chain going, and help ourselves feel better…
