Hey People!
This is the Raw and Real weekly newsletter, where every week, I share:
1 raw and real thought for you
2 one-liners for reality check
3 gratitudes for the last week
Let’s go.
1 Raw and Real thought
Everyone of us has a special “celebration” language.
For me, it is when I get a client I love (previously it used to be jumping at the computer screen seeing a positive result in exams).
I raise both my hands up in the air (making a V) and then jump around where I am. And then call up my parents back home, to celebrate the win. Or get out of my room jumping, if I’m at my hometown.
There is, however, something less glamorous about it.
Stay with me here.
At the cost of offering a totally contrary take, I would suggest that the best thing you could do when you are super happy is to be calm and stable.
Thank God/Universe for the miracle of your life
Take a few moments to do nothing and be really grateful
Feel that gratitude with you where you go, yet remember that it is a gift to you and you got lucky to get there (even if it was ton of hard work involved)
Transfer that “achievement” to God. Literally surrender it.
And get back to work in a stable way, which you would have, anyway.
Think MS Dhoni. Whenever he wins a trophy (and he does win a lot of them), he isn’t posting 1,000 Insta stories or jumping around with champagne or even jumping for that matter.
That practice itself makes you accept life with what comes, good or not-so-good.
And helps truly when a tragedy of life strikes you (and it does).
So here is the homework for you:
Going forward, whenever you are happy, you can proactively practice being calm.
You are not denying celebration, you are inviting calmness that stays. Which is the biggest celebration.
2 One-liners for fun and reality check:
There is no point climbing to the top of the mountain realising you climbed the wrong mountain. (Tweet this)
Stop falling for praises from people who don't think twice before making you feel empty consistently. (Tweet this)
3 Simple things to be grateful for
Someone asked, why this section? It is so obvious.
My response: Think about this. What would your life look like if you didn’t have these smallest of things?
Here are those smallest (rather biggest) of things:
My parents: They are weird (everyone’s are). But they are trying to be like me. And that’s power.
Evening meditation: Every evening, 6.30-7.30, sit and radiate love and peace to the entire world.
White clothes: They make me (rather everyone) look like an angel :)
What’s one small thing in your life that you are grateful for? Reply to this email/comment below and let me know. Let’s make gratitude a movement :)
That’s it guys. Something superspecial coming next week, that you will LOVE.
Till then, LOL (Loads of love)

A nice newsletter. Truly raw and real.
1 thing that I am grateful for would be just being born in this family. Though it’s not a millionaire or billionaire family, but I got very good values and support from everyone around. And specially my uncle, who would often engage in some spiritual conversations and think big even while being in tough situations.
I wonder what was my effort in this? Nothing. And I am doing fairly good, only because I was born here. Can’t express enough gratitude for this.
Loved it! Waiting for more 😄🙌🏻
